Hello,I am getting an offer from Wipro UK. Though offer is yet to be finalised, i had cleared 2 technical rounds and one HR round. HR has not told me confirmed salary figure but said it could somewhere around 43K.I have 9.8 years of strong experience in Information management and currently is Lead consultant in Capgemini India. My current salary here is 14LakhsWipro UK is also offering position in information management (metadata architect) domain and band B3 (technical lead) and salary somewhere around 43K in London. I think 43K is not sufficient and think it should be somewhere around 55-60K. Also i asked them for band C1. HR said i can not get C1 due to policy. Any advice, if the offer from wipro UK is good ? I am anyway going to bargain for C1 band. Please suggest what should be salary range i should be asking for. What is salary range for information architects in UK?

Hi,I think with 9.8 yrs of experience, 43 K salary is too low and that too in London. I saw in your query that you are working in Capgemini India. Is Wipro applying for your visa, are you on your own visa or British citizen ? Sometime back I know that Wipro policy was not to hire a UK employee if you are not a British Citizen, so do check whether you are being hired as UK employee or Indian employee deputed to UK.Anyhow, irrespective of which ever is the case. I expect that your salary offer should be ~60K or even more. But I think that Wipro will not offer you 60 K salary. My suggestion is look for some opportunity in another company, you will get better offer. But if this is the best offer you have got, then you dont have choice.Good Luck.

Do not accept the offer yet. As you are on a secondment, accept that your salary will be less than a local hire. Also, to be sent on a long deputation, you need to be with Wipro for atleast one year, so I imagine you are travelling for less than a year. You should ask for £46,000-£50,000.[quote]Hello,I am getting an offer from Wipro UK. What do you think for 48k salary in manchester? I see that cost of living in manchester is much less than that in london.

9.8 yrs of experience in Information management are a rare combination. It is hard to find such skilled workers with great experience for companies. My suggestion is to negotiate up to 50-55k otherwise better to have another opportunity.

It must be 9.9 years now! I wasn't sure about the experience level of 9.8 years but at 9.9 you seem much more experienced. Here's a crazy idea - why not just say 10 years?

As viewing your current salary its too low and your current working company is aslo a higly tagged thus join the new company if that offers good salary.
