I am about to join Accenture at M1 level. The email from HR says that I need to wear business casual. I intend to wear a suit without a tie. Does that qualify as a business casual? I do not want to be under-dressed or over-dressed on my first day.

How long before I hear the outcome from Accenture on this based on your experience? Also did you have any room for negotiation?Thanks in advance

In my case, they took almost 3 weeks to send me the final offer. I know that they had made a decision before that but recruiter needs to chase some people internally before an offer can be put together. In my case, key people were on vacation which caused the delay. At least this is what they told me. ThanksSuhas

For every single job I've been offered I've negotiated the salary or aspect of the package and every single time I've been successful in getting a better package. If Suhas didn't negotiate his/her offer or tried to and failed to get a better offer, then I would (somewhat harshly) suggest that he/she did not negotiate well enough or with the right person.

[/quote]I agree to some extent. I did not choose to push harder on negotiations. But then whatever attempts I made, I did not get any positive response.

Accenture business casuals !Sounds like the team Arby works for - I heard they go around with a bunch of VP's beating the hell out of clients for their cash & CCN's. Dress code is Chelsea shirts and are known to shout abuse at West Ham fans on the tube - we're expensive, we're expensive and that's the way we like it, we like it !DC
