There are a fair number of questions like this on the baord of late: I have X experience, how much should I be paid?Experience is to my mind a blend of activity and variety. Depending on the firm you are with, your 1.5 years might have been spent on one project. Equally, you may have five or ten projects under your belt in that period. My point is, experience is not purely time-based.All other things being equal, I'd place more value on someone who's seen a few different problems and environments, as opposed to someone who has only worked on one three-year programme. Also, it's not clear what exactly your experience is in from your post.On balance, you may be worth what you are being paid.

It's unclear why you ask the question, either to benchmark against peers or are asking us if you can get a pay rise by moving. There's plenty of stuff on the former, if it's the latter, as the above points out , it depends what you've done in that time. The likeliest scenario is that you would not improve your salary, and some companies may even offer you a reduction depending where you move to.

I asked for the average salary for someone with 1.5-2 to years experience. As in, if you could theoretically take all consultants in in that category what would their average salary be.I admit I should have set some boundaries, so let us say in business transformation consultancy (as opposed to IT).My reasons for wishing to know this as bri suggested to benchmark myself.I should have searched on here, but it was an off the whim question whilst getting ready to leave. For that I apologise.Given all that I think the average must be 35k non?
