Been working in management consulting for the last 8 years. Looking for a change - either to work in consulting or a new sector in France or Belgium. I speak fluent French but wouldn't believe my written French is at "top niveau" anymore. So, essentially looking for a job where written communication is predominantly through English but orally through French / English. Can anyone recommend good and reliable recruitment agents / executive search firms operating in either city who I should send my CV to....? Merci. K.

Most of the bigger firms have offices in Brussels and Paris - and use English as their usual business language. Why not simply apply directly? The use of agencies is not as established in these countries as it is in the UK.

Depending on your profile, you could try Borderless Executive Search (www.borderlessexecutive.com) - based in dull Brussels. Andrew Kris, the principal, is a very nice (and effective) person.

Bonjour Keith You can find a list of recrutment agencies (chasseurs de tête) on the SYNTEC Recrutement website : http://www.syntec-recrutement.orgIf you are an experienced candidate with a good CV, I am sure it is worth contacting agencies. If you are a junior candidate, I agree with Twig : you'd better contact companies directly. Take advantage of social networks like LinkedIn and Viadeo. I have always gathered useful information using these networks. A selection of job boards : monster, cadremploi.fr, cadreonline.fr, apec, top-consultant.com (there is a French section!!!)You will certainly need a French version of your CV. And be ready to introduce yourself in French on the phone. As you may know it, a lot of people at reception desks don't speak English and may hang up on you! Hope it helps - Bonne chance !
