HiI am focussed on following a career in the consulting field, ideally I would like to work within a change management background. I would like to ask for some advice on how best to make the jump into this field. I have provided my background below and would appreciate any tips you can share with me.-I got 4 A-levels although not great results, -I have a 2:1 Business Studies degree from Portsmouth University-I have worked for T-Mobile as weekend store manager for 2 years during my degree-I spent my placement year with Merrill Lynch in operations department-I spent a year helping to set up a start up business, providing marketing services and resource seeking for finance and industry support-I have been working as a “sales consultant” for 2 years in an online media company selling, training and marketing to Blue chip companies as well as PR agencies and on a daily business communicate from MD to account exec’s-I am part qualified as a Chartered Marketeer, am currently studying part time for CIM Post Grad Professional Diploma in Marketing to become qualified-I understand this qualification will also provide exemptions from the Management Consultancy qualificationI have been trying to move into a consultant role but am still young and am not sure what sort of company I should pursue working for. I am determined and am very successful in new business development and account management however I could really do with some advice.
