I have a few questions, but first I'd like to give a bit of background information:I am currently in 2nd year, studying International Business at Glasgow Caledonian University and I have chosen languages as my key 'theme route' through the course. This will give me a basic grounding in traditional business subjects, a good knowledge of international business subjects and I should be approaching professional fluency in French and Spanish by the end of my 4th year. I should be able to achieve a high 2:1 or a 1st.The extra curricular activities I've been involved in include: being my course rep, taking part in programme called Caledonian Student Leaders and this summer I have been accepted for an 8 week programme with Scottish Enterprise, working as part of an international student consultancy group for Glasgow businesses.I am involved in the university muay thai club and snowboarding club and also with a local football clubFor the second semester of 3rd year, I will also be studying in France. Now onto my questions.I will be looking for a place on a management consultancies summer internship program in 2008, most likely in Glasgow although I could easily be based in Northampton too. Which firms should I be looking at for this and why?I know that Glasgow Caledonian isn't the most prestigious university, so is there any other extra curricular or academic activities that I should be involved in that recruiters would look at favourably? Finally, when thinking ahead to when I graduate, what should I be considering when thinking about which firms to apply for? (I already have my own ideas, but it's good to get unbiased opinions)Thank you for taking the time to read this, and any advice you can offer will be gratefully recieved.
