Opportunities and Salary expectations - moving to UK in JuneHi I’m moving to the UK in June and in preparation I’m trying to get some inside (local consultants’ insight) info on the UK consulting market.I was wondering what my expectations can be with regards to the range (and amount) of opportunities, recruiting process and the salary/income packages can expect given my experience. Also any advice with regards to specific consulting firms that would value my skills would be greatly appreciated.Just a bit of background: I'm an experienced business consultant (management/senior level) with an MBA form a top South African university. I've worked as both a customer facing and as an internal consultant for clients in: automotive; aviation; retail; petrochemical; new-media and IT services industries. I specialise in business architecture and process optimisation, focused on cross functional integration and market interaction/CRM. I have just received my UK HSMP visa, but will only relocate beginning June 2007. I understand that I will most probably be required to be in the UK (London) for interviews, but it would always be great to secure a few interviews (or possibly a contract/position) even before I land there ;-) All comments, advice and suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Ascertain what level you think you'd join at, then identify the firms you're interested in. Armed with that information, people here can probably give a fairly good estimate of what you might get paid.As a ballpark figure:Analyst: 30KConsultant: 40KManager: 50-70KSenior Manager: 75-125KPrincipal / Director: 125K - 200KPartner: 250K +++Salaries vary widely by consultancy type, size, and your own experience. Don't take the above as gospel.
