I finished my last project a week ago and I am kind of waiting for my next one with no news as yet. There are a few people in my position. we are getting worried. Is this normal?

Hi Dennis,What kind of practice/market are you involved in (strat, SI, business, management, sap, public sector, etc.)? And which country/area?Your market might just be a bit slow right now. Especially if it's public sector. :) I wouldn't worry too much, unless the days turn into weeks and then the weeks turn into months.

What DELL said. Absolutely spot-on.Would also be worth understanding what's in the sales pipeline -- it could be that work is just around the corner, or it could be that the cupboards are bare. Office morale of the senior guys is normally a good indication about how worried you should be.

good points indeedtheres a few more tho- get some tl done- write up papers detailing experiences on last assignment- get out there and help with proposals- offer to do some market research- develop your company knowledge- develop an elevator speach- hot desk in a different practice every week- get out of the box
