Waiting to join Accenture as Consultant (C1) and have a burning questions to ask ppl who're working there/at this level already. Thinking of getting a personal blackberry this weekend but wondering if this gizmo is supplied as standard tool to consultants at Accenture.Anyone willing to shed some light?Thanks in advance.

Easy one this - call your HR contact and ask.If they don't supply one as standard you may be able to put in a business case in which you justify why you need one. It depends very much on your role, I have a friend who commutes from the North West to London at least once a week, often twice or more - he calculated the number of hours of lost productivity and hey presto: a new blackberry.If they still won't then consider how much you will need one and make a decision once you are settled into the job - there is no need to rush into purchasing the kit.And for those who slate balckberry's for 'taking over your life' I have one piece of news; you can turn them off! Hell, you can even set them to turn themselves on and off at set times each day meaning you are in total control!Ludites...

Dude,Blackberry Pearl is so cool. I have got one last month and am enjoying every moment with it.But, if you are planning to set up your corporate email on your personal Blackberry, then yo might want to check with your Employer first as your Blackberry device is personal e.g. not provided by your Employer.
