Consultants have often been said to be the 'Jacks of all trades' - wheter this is true or not is space for a new thread. What is certain though, is that we ARE experts when it comes to hotels. As such, I curiously noticed there were no threads dedicated to this ever-so-central topic to our lives. What hotels have been the best for you? And the worst? Which have you looked forward to go to - and which have you crigned at when recieving the booking confirmation? I'll start it off:Best- 4 Seasons HK- Hilton Budapest ( for views )- Waldorf Historia NYWorst- Hilton Rotterdam ( I was told, the fact that the shower was pouring out only cold water, was normal)- Hilton Edinburgh ( was told that to have independant climate control i had to book a suite)

My favourites are any Malmaison or Radisson SAS - have never been let down by either of these

I have found the Hilton Rotterdam to be pretty good - although this week my room seems to be bereft of hot water.....

The Vineyard hotel in Newbury is my personal favourite. Worst is the Hilton North, the rooms stink!

Well the only five star hotel with a riverside view whose view isn't spoilt by the Budapest Hilton IS the Budapest Hilton.
