I'm not an expert on what PA are up to, but I've interviewed a few PA FS people over the last year or so, and frustration levels seem to be pretty high. It's a very small team, and while the people themselves are actually pretty good, they don't seem to be winning the type or volume of work they aspire to. PA's strengths like in their technology and public sector groups, and FS clients are increasingly sophisticated in selecting their consulting partners. If you want to be an FS expert, you should probably consider one fo the specialist FS firms (capco, ma, troika), or one of the bigger firms with a more established FS group.I may be wrong of course, but if you are sitting on an offer from them, then I see no reason why you can't start asking some questions around their current pipeline of work, the value of work won in the last 12 months, who their key clients are in FS and what type of work have they been doing for those clients.
