I'd like to hear any funny stories about consultants with big egos. Stories about clueless but well-paid senior partners with egos the size of a planet would be particularly good!I once met a consultant who was writing her autobiography. She really thought she was so interesting people would buy it! In reality, she was just your average 26 year-old cubicle drone with an over-inflated ego. You know what she was going to call the book? "Story of Power"! Oh man.

Yep, this really is/was true. I'd love to hear similar stories about consultants with big egos.

If you want to read a good book about egos at work try: "Mine's Bigger than Yours: Understanding and Handling Egos at Work" by Susan Debnam. It's great on how to move on from being driven by your ego to being 'ego free' and also on how the rest of us can deal with all these ego-driven types.
