hi Tony and all - i am in the process of talking to AXON and while this a new company to me I have heard a few things (adhoc) about its positive position in the market. Does any one here have any insights as to the quality of work environ, company culture and standing in the market place compared to the big players? Any AXON insiders here who can shed some light? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

That depends -- which bit of Axon are you going into? It's not a great place for a consulting career -- very much sink or swim, but if you're a SAP guy, it might be just the place.

Axon is OK for dedicated SAP configurers but really poor for everyone else. There are no annual pay rises unless you get promoted. There is no training and it can be very cliquey. If you don't fit then your career is non-existent - first year attrition is particularly high.Attrition is high generally but there can be periods when it can be very high. As the founder says if you don't like it look elsewhere.

I agree that Axon is good for SAP Configuration consultants. I'm relatively new to the company (been here almost a year), but no major complaints so far. No formal training but many others willing to provide guidance and support. The other consultants that I work with and know here are absolutely great. I just hope that the brass turn out to be that way as well. I have to disagree with the "sink or swim" comment though - unless by "sink" you mean do a crap job over and over. I have to admit, it is more difficult if you don't know people here though. No favors are given, but its harder to get noticed.Just landed a HUGE deal in the US this week (SAP for a certain utility).... so we'll see how that works out. If you're thinking of joining, right NOW is the time to do so. Especially if you're in the US.Many have come-and-gone lately, but you'll see that in most consultancies...especially ones focused on SAP since the mid-market is going very strong right now. But seriously, if you're thinking of joining I would do so now. Then, I would do a self assessment in a year or two to determine if things are working out or you'd be better off elsewhere.Hope this helps!Cheers!
