Can anyone shed any light on whether it is possible to get a good strategy consulting job in the Midlands?I'm from a marketing background but want to get into consulting.I'm dabbling with the idea of applying for some London-based consultancies but would ideally like to live with my partner in the Midlands (anywhere within 50 miles of Coventry is fine).Anyone got any thoughts? I am more into the strategy/marketing/branding side of things....Do regional offices for consultancies like CapGemini, Deloitte, KPMG etc work in those areas?

It depends how you define Midlands, but Oxford is just about within 50 miles of Coventry. SMT Consulting is there.

There is plenty of consulting practice in the Midlands. You are unlikely to find strategy roles though as regional offices usually tend to work on a regional basis so clients are often govt related or on an operational basis.Strategy is usually linked to top cheeses and they are all based in London.
