Hey,I have been told that E&Y BAS are offering 32k starting salary with a 4k signing on bonus for graduates, can anyone confirm this? Seems much better than the other big 4, deloitte etc?

£27.5k + £2.5k worth of benefits (pension, insurance, laptop, mobile phone etc.)Although EY don't have the package on their website, they were advertising through Freshminds a few months ago and the recruitment consultant gave me the breakdown when I spoke to them about the job.

PA CA, or anyone at BAS - do you know how much of the 2.5k is cash benefits like pension and how much is benefits in kind that you may not use like childcare voucher - do you get any choice?

I've absolutely no idea because I don't work there but I'd very surprised if it didn't work on a flexible system of "...or take the cash" - especially in the case of childcare which as far as I'm aware allows tax savings and therefore has to be arranged on a salary sacrifice basis.

I am currently on the BAP scheme. The salary for the next intake is yet to be confirmed, but will be circa 32k. For our intake the bonus was an interest free graduate loan (repayable over 4 yrs) for up to £7000. The information provided by PA CA is incorrect.BAS operates a fully flexible benefits scheme (Martian is correct). Laptops are provided but do not make up part of the salary package! If you have any more questions about the graduate programme, I'd be happy to answer them.

I don't get it. The financial services advisory route pays more than business advisory, but financial services advisory only pays £30k (http://www.freshminds.co.uk/career/grad_ad_details.aspx?Sec=sc&id=FM/06/PP/BAP/LR).

The FS and ICG packages are the same and are currently being reviewed for the new intake. A lot of the information contained on this forum and elsewhere isn't accurate.

Why would you join BAS? They won't be around in 5 years, and will be a big black mark on your CV

a laptop and phone are not worthy of mentioning in a benefits package, they are tools of the job. how could you work without them?

Imen,What basis do you have for your prediction - is this just more unsubstantiated chatter to attempt to boost your ego or is it based in fact?
