Hi, Based on your experience, what happens if one accepts an offer but then changes idea? Is it possible to cancel it? Is it acceptable? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Thread 23349 has some worthy contributors on this subject and then some kids decided it was playtime (so they joined in too!)Do you have another offer though? If it is competing with an existing job contract then dont forget that they were not negotiated at the same time. If thats your situation you have to consider if you are going to go back to your existing employer and use it as a bargaining chip or keep quiet about it. It has been done before, so it is possible. You would want to be careful about how you do it though.Acceptable to who? Whatever you decide consider acting with a real sense of integrity. Perhaps you are simply readying yourself for a future eventuality. Its a fair matter to be uncertain about so no bad idea to give it some thought. In my experience it doesnt happen that often.

'Uncertain' you are nothing more than a number at this stage, but that's a good thing!Simply be gracious in removing yourself from the race and get on with whatever you have chosen to do.

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure I am making the right decisions and I am being pressured to accept offers due to deadlines. I just want to have more time at my disposal but also not let the offers go.
