Hi,I am currently interviewing at CRU Strategies.www.crustrategies.comThey claim to be the leading strategy consultancy for the metals and mining industry. I would like to know what opinions you guys have on this firm, in terms of prestige, client base, culture etc.What are your opinions on the exit opportunities?I would be joining straight out of university, but would it be possible to move to a generalist strategy firm in 3-5 year times?Thank you!

I haven't any up to date info but CRU used to be extremely well thought of in the the mining and metals industry. Good people and good work. But it is probably 10 years since I've had anything to do with them as changed industries. Perhaps others have newer experience/info.

I would imagine pretty difficult as this a "big fish in small pond" type of company - very niche. . If you want to go into general consulting in terms of industry client base then i would suggest don't go to CRU or others of ilk.
