Hi acnc1, Do you mind letting me know what area of ACN you work in i.e. group? Also, am I correct to assume you have performed very well in your appraisals etc to reach C1 and your salary within 2 years? Is there any difference between OG for career progression at the moment? Thanks

2 years is the standard time at analyst level before promotion to c1 (longer depending on what time of year you joined because promotions are late in the year)

I think the best way to give this information is to provide the whole package (salary, benefits, max. % bonus, car allowance) instead of salary alone.I know Cap gives very high benefits package, almost 3 times Deloitte's benefits package.acnc1 and capgC2, are the figures above salary only or total package?

So what about dear old IBM?? joined grad scheme with 2yrs industry exp after uni, been with IBM 1.5 years, top rated and on 26k! Sounds like I am being shafted but is it ok to apply elsewhere as a consultant with 1.5 years 'broad' consulting experience??

I came from a (badly paid) industry, and some years ago now was paid the same as you after 2 years in, before moving... my missus is a midwife and started on higher basic than you!

capgC2,You package overall is about 4.5K higher than the graduates on the CDC but your base salary is 2K less than theirs.I take it it you joined from industry with very limited experience? I have heard of C2s with some high level of experience with total package in the very high 40s.

Has anyone ever thought about the possibility that different people get paid different amounts depending on their experience, previous salary, quality etc.?Shocking theory I know, but I work in a Big 4 and know that the salary range for my grade is over £10k.Present a balanced and dynamic service to your employers and start to ask the question 'how can I maximise my earnings in this situation' when they promote you, rather than worrying about what everyone else earns. If you're really not earning your fair share than go for promotion to another firm, but think seriously about moving mid-grade; it's very difficult to re-establish yourself and a £2/3k bump probably isn't worth it.In the mean time you can't escape the fact that your peers are either better or worse than you, and their pay will reflect that.Unless you're me of course, and then you would know that they're all worse than you and that's why you earn so much!

Aha...That's because I failed to appreciate how the PA machine works. I've had my annual appraisal/feedback, but won't find out about bonuses etc. until mid March. However, I was promoted, so I should get enough for a good watch.
