People,I'm mulling over an offer to join the Accenture F&PM team at consultant level. Currently working in a Big 4 Firm.Would appreciate any thoughts on what it is like working in that team and what the hours are like. Or anything else that I should consider! Thanks

Hi Viera,I;m in F&PM. The hours really depend (a) on the project and (b) your role. THere is no standard. At the minute, I start at about 9 (taxi though is at 8:15 from hotel) and work until about 7 or so every night. Not bad and certainly if you are out of town anyway, you hardly notice it or care that much.People are great. Full stop. But you may find some of the work boring as I do. It is mostly SI work so the only "consulting" you will be doing is requirements gathering analysis - being frank. THe Sales etc comes primarily after Manager level.Gotta go.

I'm in Accenture at the mo. Its OK. Its my third project in a row where I am spending my time asking clients about their requirements for SAP FICO. I get to do the designs next so that will be more interesting. I am thinking about moving on though. A bit worried that I am becoming more of an SI guy than consultant.
