Broad Question: I am in the process of doing an MBA at a top business school and in the meantime I am also trying to break in consultancy firm. Do you know of any companies that are willing to recruit potential consultants who don't have many years of experience.

Of the firms I know, all accept MBA grads with little or no experience. All it means is you may start a little lower to gain that experience.

Come on Jack, get off your backside! Half the art of consultancy is the ability to google anything quickly so that when you're on a conference call or half way through an engagement you can increase your knowlefdge before the bullsh... runs out!Seriously - the act of investigation will be very valuable to you as you can create your own path and learn as you go.And if you are at a top business school as you mention you should find that they come to you.

i am at henley and they like to consider themselves number 2 in the uk and 14 in the world, not a bad school, however consultancy firms have yet to come to the place. i have contacted and send my cv to a few firm and most are looking for experience, believe me i have been searching with little luck.

Henley, great regatta I guess

Henley is no good. Had a colleague who went and the standard of work produced yet which got graded "A" was shocking. You should have gone to a proper business school, preferably one linked to a decent university which maintains proper academic standards and is assessed on this by HEFCE or whatever it is now.
