I am an aspiring MBBB applicant. I need help in deciding how much I should spend on cufflinks and which brand I should go for.

Perhaps if you strategically twist a paperclip to create a cufflink, the interviewer will be blown away by your "outside the box" thinking, and ability to generate creative solutions.

Forget cufflinks - roll your sleeves up and show them you mean business

Go for a grandad shirt (i.e. no collar) and some of those St Georges cross cufflinks

I'm a little taken aback by the flippant replies. I am looking for serious advice here.My academic and personal credentials are beyond reproach. I have prepared meticulously - I can "ace" any case. I have purchased all the necessary attire - except for the cufflinks. I respectfully request your genuine advice. Thanks

Given your unparalleled case-solving abilities, choosing a pair of cufflinks shouldn't pose too many problems.

class response from Mike! How about some braces as well! And let's not forget the obligatory Mont Blanc pen, with which to take notes in the business case. But you're so good that you probably don't need to take notes! This has made me chuckle. It's a good way to start off the year!

whats wrong with a mont blanc pen? or some decent cufflinks for the matter? Im sorry to be the one to point it out, but I appreciate when I see British people begining to take more pride in what they wear. You could learn something from your continental neighbours! In answer to your question: Thomas Pink does some neutral ones for about 30 quid. Avoid gold and colors - and match them with belt / shoes if possible. Good luck and dont let the other sarcastic comments bother you. They are just displaying feelings from growing up without learining about pride in appearance. Let them go!

Looks like we have a fashion designer cruising the consultant forum...anyway..Match your cuff links with your belt and shoes- ummm well it sounds fine to me - not unless you are planning to wear a silver shoe.. or a leather cuff link.. ( go easy on those though- otherwise it will give a very S & M image :) Good luck!

Is the original post here a joke or something? Theres nothing wrong with taking pride in what you wear, and trying to dress smartly etc but I highly doubt your taste in cufflinks is going to be a deal breaker. The arrogance of 'anon' with his "My academic and personal credentials are beyond reproach. I have prepared meticulously - I can "ace" any case" is also staggering. As another poster had pointed out, with your abilities surely you can work this one out for yourself
