Hi everyone,After getting through the assessment centre, I have a final interview at PA consulting coming up soon for an analyst position, does anyone have any experience of this? All I can tell is that it is to see whether I would be a good fit in the practise, but I'm not too sure what that entails? Thanks for any help.

Just be yourself. The criteria for a 'culture fit' interview is impenetrable and as much about the disposition of the interviewer and their instincts as anything else. If you come across as positive, upbeat, can-do, cheerful, etc basically someone colleagues can rely on, live with on long projects etc, you will be fine. They have already assessed your competencies at the AC.

Many, many years ago I was positive, upbeat, can-do, cheerful, etc. My then line manager told me that I "lacked gravitas" and should be less enthusiastic. You just can't win with some people.

Usual for any firm. Be clear what package you are willing to accept in case it comes up.

Also use it as an opportunity for yourself to assess whether you have a good fit with the person across the table, at least if that's going to be one of the analysts or operations people you'll often work with. And yes, some drive and enthusiasm should usually work fine.

Hi,The AC was a one to one interview with a consultant (usual competency based questions), a role play exercise where you have 20 minutes to read over some documents and then present a conclusion to a 'managing director' of some company. This is followed by a discussion to see why you have chosen this - they want to know how you came to the conclusion and what your thought processes were so make sure to be logical. The last task is the group exercise (groups 3/4). We had 10 minutes to read over documents then 20 minutes to discuss it as a group. Then you presented (5 minutes) your findings/recommendations to 3 'board members', followed by some questions. I think it was important to listen carefully, voice your opinions and generally act like a team player. You also have plenty of opportunities to chat with people working at PA so make sure you take advantage of that time and don't spend the whole time speaking to 1 person. In terms of specific examples, I don't think that's really important as they likely change them and your recommendations should be based primarily on what you read in the documents you're given, rather than any previous research. Make sure to have a good knowledge of work PA has done in your chosen practise (lots of info on their website), this can help throughout the case study/interview sessions.Good luck!

Hi, well done on getting through. My final stage was a couple of hour long interviews that included some more competency based questions (very similar to interview at AC) and then a lot more discussion about how the company operates/my questions. Think the best thing to do would be to read up on PA, your specific practice and the industry that your practice falls into. Any extra stuff/links you can make between them that are relevant to the discussion looks good I imagine as it shows you've done your homework. There's loads of company info on the careers section of the website so make sure to read all that to get a good understanding of the company.Make sure you have plenty of questions to ask them about the company/practice etc. Show enthusiasm for the company and industry you're going to work in and generally be a likeable person and I'm sure it will go well!Good luck

Hi bau06135 (or anyone else with first-hand experience) - just wondering when you heard back after final round? I'm thinking if you don't hear same day it's not good news...Thanks
