Hi all I have been told by HR at PWC that there is currently a hiring freeze going on as they are reviewing their budgets for HRS advisory. Can anyone please let me know by when will the hiring freeze be lifted and when are budgets allocated again ?Thanks

Does that mean all offers are only to be released after 8th Jan 2015?

And it is 8th Jan today any updates from PWC folks on the hiring freeze lift?

I guess the same is happening with Deloitte as well. I forwarded my salary documents to them on 22nd Dec 2014 but I am waiting for the offer till now. Though I did not receive an official response about the budget thing, I am assuming this as a possibility. Do let us know did you get the offer. ?? When did you appear for the interview?

On a serious note, I work at PwC and its less a hiring freeze and more an indiscriminate hiring freeze. If there's a business need to bring people on they'll do it. Better that than have a load of people on the bench, which seems to have happened in a few areas recently.
