The post above is about Accenture gradings, which work completely differently. At Capgemini C1 is the starting grade (associate consultant), usually for graduate joiners. Expect about 35k.Takes approx two years to go from C1-C2, although if you're coming in with experience it may well take less. Expect about 45k if you go up internally as a new C2 (consultant), but up to 55-60k if you're moving in at C2 and are considered valuable. C3 (senior consultant) is usually 60k ish for those coming up internally, and takes about two-three years from C2. For those moving in it again can vary widely, so you could be talking tens of thousands more for an experience hire (reflecting usually much more experience). C3 is also where you start getting a bonus linked to sales targets.Hope that helps

Hi Mike, can you shed any light on what the grading system looks like currently?I have seen mention of the 'A' grades (in Technology), and am interested to know how these stack up in terms of salary, and vs. C grades etc.Thanks. N.

Hey Nykyr,That's a big question... All consulting is 'C', climbing from 1 to 5, then you're at VP level, SVP, CVP.A, B, etc gradings aren't used in Capgemini Consulting (at least in the UK) but are in other business units / geographies. A lot of the different areas have grown up differently, as acquisitions, etc, so the grading varies a lot. From VP onwards grades are fairly consistent, but until then I believe there are about 9 A grades to the 5 Cs... so you can roughly map them across. Lots more promotions available, but smaller steps, obviously.
