Dear All, I am 33 and have just exited my own business which was manufacturer of household products to the supermarkets. in the last 10 years, i built it up, outsourced all key processes and then exited. i am about to finish my part time MBA at MBS and would like to get into consultancy as a career. I am getting conflicting advice as to potential employers because of a lack of consultancy background. Does anyone have any pointers and advise wheer to look. I am particuarly keen in working for a manchester office...

PA has a Product and Process Engineering Practice (which advises companies on product development and the processes around that) and a Manufacturing Practice (which focuses on Manufacturing as an industry, and can include strategy, cost reductions etc.) which may be of interest. They have offices in London, Cambridge (PPE is based there), Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin if any of those suit.
