I am an experienced consultant and will be interviewing with Cap Gemini Consulting Division to work in one of their industry groups. I would be most grateful for any views on how the Firm is doing ... How is it to work there? Any views? Thanks

Cap is essentially a failing consulting business heavily reliant upon its public sector deal with the Inland revenue.If you want to help the tax man collect part of the nations earnings then Cap is the place to be....

No more industry groups at Cg, I'm afraid. The company just restructured and moved away from sector based consulting (?).At CG you find nice people, okay environment but not exciting consulting work.

There appears to be a lot of negative comments around Cap Gemini's apparent heavy reliance on public sector work but surely they still have some high-profile contracts in financial services/telco/consumer goods. After all, their private sector client list is still quite extensive. Would be good to hear from a Cap Gemini employee on this - any thoughts?

I started with CG a few months as a graduate and an having an absolutely fantastic time. Really great 'steep learning curve' project, fantastic project managers, doesn't feel at all hierachical, good training, just generally friendly inspirational people.

In answer to Newbie's question you will see alot of private clients attached to the technoology side of the business.The consulting business largely seperate and as per previous messages a public sector shop.
