I applied for change consultant position in Accenture on 03 November, received confirmation. I have not heard from them yet. I was wondering if any one of you out there who had their who applied for or had interview with Accenture, and can tell me how long should I wait before giving it up.

They're usually quite quick (a couple of weeks) at the first stage so you should give them a ring to follow up. It could be that they're waiting on a senior exec to free up some interview time or something.

It happens to me that Acc is very slow in responding; Between each runs of interviews, it takes an average of 2 weeks before I hear from them. Final offers taks longer as they need to go through the approval committees. So don't worry, they will always come back to you.

Finally I got a telephone interview with ACN for Change Consultant role. Any one who had this experience - what can I expect.

i was speaking with an exec not so long ago out of curiousity more than anything, anyway he has a big hand in the current experienced hire recruiting side of things, apperantly accenture has a large backlog of CV's and its taking a while to get interview confirmations and offer confirmaitons out. anyway, he informed me that they're trying to speed this up as they're loosing good candidates to other firms becuase of hte delay, so it may improve in the weeks to come. given accenture has never really been a big player in the experienced hire market previously with their 'grow your own' consultant appraoch and the high attrition before christmas, they're stepping up the experienced hires and this has resutled in some backlogs apparently...anyway, i'm sure they'll get back to you eventually so sit tight till then i'm afraid!

I recently went for my second round experienced hire interview, and it took nearly 3 weeks for them to get back to me and offer me a position - so the old theory of no news = good news, turned out to be true!

They mentioned case study on phone, but told me as an experienced hire (very operational experience as opposed to consulting ) i would be fine and not to worry!! (easy said) I'm interviewing for Human Performance division. Can anyone offer any insight to case studies and how best to prepare?Thanks

Shanon, one week for feedback is not long in acn. It will depend on the group. 2-4 weeks is more normal.

Thanks! I'm trying to get in touch with the agency that refered me to ACN...they rn't responding as well ...... This was case in the second round as well....the agency didnt respond till they got a call frm ACN for my 2nd & the 3rd round. is this normal?

I had a partner chat/informal interview in 2000. I still have not heard anything. Is this normal?

probably yes, it would be normal. What it will not be is going through the recruitment process and not get any formal reply on an offer and being communicated you need to wait and be patience. Why does acn do this? Surely, this reflects bad on them and they will fail to recruit excellent candidates.

Indeed, they don't seem to be attracting the right calibre of people from my experience. I have had the displeasure of working with these numpties on a project at the DWP and they are quite simply the most anodyne, double-cuff wearing, monotonous, singularly unimpressive bunch of "consultants" I have come across. My highlight working up there in sunny Newcastle was every Thursday afternoon seeing them get into the fleet of taxis ferrying them off to get the 16.30 back to London.
