I work in IT audit for one of the big four firms, having also done a stint in internal audit at another of said firms. Trouble is, I don't enjoy it one little bit - prior to turning corporate I spent 3 years in a great small organisation inputting and managing the design, testing and implementation of a new banking and CRM software system-and loved the job. I don't have accounting or IT qualifications, but a good degree. I want to get out of audit and in to IT, but don't want the time I have spent in audit to be a waste. What can I do?? what do other people do when they realise that there is no job satisfaction in audit?
