Hi, I have 4 years experience in purchasing and have just completed my MBA from Uni of Edinburgh and I am considering for moving towards consultancy. Just to brief you about myself. I have worked into trading business for 3 years and have had a family business in which had my attention for one year which is into manufacturing and export import of agro chemicals over many countries. I am looking for opportunities within Europe to expore. I am a CIPS student member and I am also grasping SAP these days. Do I hold any chance of moving into consultany ? I am very good strategic planning.

Sid,Seems like interesting and varied experience. On the strength of this, there is always an opportunity, but you'd have to sell it.Communication-wise, you need a lot of work. Judging by your post, I'm guessing English is not your first language, though, so maybe this is spurious.Based on your background, it will also be interesting to see how you justify being 'very good at strategic planning' when there is nothing that leaps out as being related to this.Just a couple of thoughts.B
