I worked for Accenture (Italy) for more than two years now I am consultant. I am quite satisfied of my work in these two years , I met extroardinary people and I made really good experiences.... However now I am starting to be bored of the work. I worked in IT field and I would like to remain in this field but with a work much oriented to IT strategy than to IT implementation. I know that Mckinsey have a BTO office wich is an office related to Technology Business and that also Booz Allen have a division fo IT strategy. There is someone who have experience with that ? Do you think that is possible to be hired bye these tow firms with my experience ? Thanks

For all I know, McKinsey is unlikely to consider you at this point in your career, unless you have something rather exceptional. BAH is a possibility.Your best bet is to give both firms a call and ask. They are hardly going to bite your head off by telephone.

Thank you for you answer, but what do you mean when you say "McKinsey is unlikely to consider you at this point in your career", you mean that my experience is not enough to try to be hired in Mckinsey or you think that Accenture experience is not well considered ? . Thank you

Hi Alberto Uk experience is surely great but in Italy salary are low compared to UK it is certain that also the cost of the life is lower and that you have no possibility to be fired easely . However think that I am new consultant in Accenture and my salary is € 32000 + car in UK a new consultant salary is € 55000 but without car. This is what I know . I hope these informations will be useful

Thank you for your respone. If I may ask, ho are companies like Accenture and Deloitte seen in Italy? I have heard that thier respective strategy practices are well respected - almost en par with MBBB. Is that true? DO you know of any good recruiters for consulting in Italy?

Hi I think that te best way is to try to be hired in UK by some great cons company and then ask to move to Italy. As regards strategy practice in Accenture for sure there are some projects in Italy so if you ask to join Accenture as strategy consultant it should not be diffucult to be staffed on these projects. Howevere as you know the most of Accenture business it is IT
