Hi Alan,I'm from the Arabian Gulf originally. I think the best way to target customers is to show them your capabilities of providing solutions and developements. Remember the most important thing is to build trust between you in the first meeting. I found it useful if you deal with clients in a friendly way. You can reach this by knowing the culture more. Firms are quite keen on people with experience. If you can speak Arabic it gives you an edge. Moreover, if you're going back to your 'home' country and do not demand expatriate benefits, you're going to be snapped up in no time, as the region is hot for consulting.
