Hi, I am an experience operations consultant (3 years ) and have been very busy around Europe. My next challenge will be the middle east. Would anyone give me some advice how to approach companies there, and the kind of experience/skills requested. Thnks in advance.

Hi Alan,I'm from the Arabian Gulf originally. I think the best way to target customers is to show them your capabilities of providing solutions and developements. Remember the most important thing is to build trust between you in the first meeting. I found it useful if you deal with clients in a friendly way. You can reach this by knowing the culture more. Good luck in your career there, and if you need more help, please write to me.Thanks,Aziz

Hi AzizLike Alna, I have started researching opportunities in the Middle East. I have over 24 years experience; a mixture of consultancy and running Operations. My question is : are there any good organisations to approach directly? I should say I am an Arab but I have lived in the UK for 32 years. Thanks in advance

Firms are quite keen on people with experience. If you can speak Arabic it gives you an edge. Moreover, if you're going back to your 'home' country and do not demand expatriate benefits, you're going to be snapped up in no time, as the region is hot for consulting.
