Hi there I am writing to request some advice. I recently completed an MSc at Oxford with Distinction and Prize. Prior to the MSc, I have 3 years of experience in non-profit organizations in a developing country. I also have an MA with Distinction from Exeter and a 1st class undergraduate degree from a leading overseas university. Over the summer I interned with London School of Economics on a project led by McKinsey consultants and trained at the McKinsey London office. I did my second internship at a leading natural resources firm, no. 2 in the world by market capitalization. I am 27 years old and looking for an entry-level MC position. My question is: Do I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting called to an interview through the MC graduate recrutment? Constructive feedback/criticism very welcome.Thanks

Constructive criticism as requested...While on paper you seem a strong candidate the fact that you are looking for your first real job at 27 means that you are clearly a work-shy student soap dodger who has sought to avoid the real world and hide behind internships and additional qualifications for the sake of them. Therefore I think you would struggle to fit in amongst other entry level candidates who would not only be 5 years + younger than you, but also would have probably garnered alot more social skills and be more rounded individuals, as while you were getting your distinction and 'prizes', they were in the pub learning about the real world and how to drink. This combined with the fact you are clearly an obnoxiously smug git, would mean that an interviewer is unlikely to accept you (I know I wouldn't if I interviewed you) so to answer your question.....No, not a snowball's chance, try digging a well in Africa or banking.

Ignore the personality lacking comments above (excluding the constructive ones that is).I am a con at a major player, plenty of PhDs started our associate programs. Whilst gettin your prizes and handful of degrees might get you an interview, I would try and mention it as little as possible once in the door at interview. The interviewer will not care that you have more degrees than me, (one BSc) but will want to know your experience and social skills that blahblahblah did so well to explain to you.Freshminds will probably get you some short term experience to prove your vocationally applied skills an from there you will more attractive to employers IMHO. the age thing I wouldn't worry about per se, its the lack of experience. When I started this game at 23 I had three blue chip roles (albeit contract based) each of six months behind me and that, not necessarily my 2.1 (which is pretty standard) got me my role.Good luck
