May sound stupid but anyway... I got offers to join both top-tier MC and some BB IBs. Great! Yep, but I'm concerned abt working hrs, especially evenings and weekends. The truth is that I like going out and s*x (the word is banned here ;-). During my studies I've practised heavily one-night-stands and don't wanna give it up. But now, having read all these stories about long hours and nights/weekends at the office, I got anxious. So guys what's consultant's s*x life?

Man how have you got offers already.I know for a fact BCG,McKinsey and Bain havent even started their interviews yet.

It depends what you're doing at the IB's. Trading, Ops will let you get out on time every evening and you won't be working weekends whereas M&A, CorpFin will generally be longer hours than consulting.Consulting has more opportunities to meet a wide range of people and travel around - i.e. the one-night stand recipe. Following the same pattern in the City can become messy because you see the same people every day. You'd be better pursuing drawn out, hothouse affairs if you joined IBanking.Final consideration is that consulting has/attracts more attractive people than IBanking.

eh thanks for input. It helps a bit... you're right that MC gives more opportunities ;-). Especially that if I join IB then it's going to be M&A. Any other consultants? Or lack of opinion = lack of ... ;-)))Anne - I didn't have so many offers. 2 from MC and 3 from IBs. Compared to the number I have applied for it's not the greatest result. Although I'm not complaining.
