Hi guys, I started a role within a Big Four accountancy firm this September, and realised quickly that although I would come out with a great qualification, this wasn't the job for me. I always believed consulting to be more interesting but sat back on the job offer I had in my final year of uni after the internship. I have since quit the accountancy job and am sending out applications for consulting, whilst looking for ST temp work in the mean time to pay the rent!! I was wondering whether there were any start dates (other than EY BAS in March which I have final round interview for) which were before September.... as I know my situation isn't ideal but would really like to get a grad job prior to Sept. Thanks

If you quit accountancy because it was boring I would steer clear of Accenture - 90% chance you will end up software testing or some other similarly delightful activity. I would imagine IBM are similar.I have never tried accounting but this can't be much better - and there's no qualification to look forward to!Still, at least Accenture won't make you take exams

consider BDO stoy hayward-their management consultancy division is growing rapidly (it was launched last year), offer early responsibility and client exposure and allows you to study for an ACA as a backup (if you want to move into accountancy)/ an aid to move into other areas of consulting.
