Guys,If I fails at case interview now and say in 2 years would like to apply again, then can I? I mean officially firms say that they don't accept new application within 12 months from the unsuccessful one, but in practice is it so? Or ding now = ding forever? I'm referring to M4B firms.

its not the case at all. I sent my CV to a tier 2 strat firm 6 moths ago. Mailshot rejection. 3 weeks ago sent it again - now im at last stage before offer. Things change. HR people have good days. THe sun shines. Keep trying. Stop wasting your time.

Hi All,I have the same concern - can anyone else (recruiters?) advise... please... I study outside UK and applied to all top-tier firms. Got 3 interview offers but, before going there, I'd like to know whether in case I fail on case interviews I can reapply after some time. Or maybe one failure (on case interview, not CV stage) blocks me forever. I prefer not to ask firms directly abou this as I don't want to make 'negative/pessimistic/not confident' impression before interview.Thank you in advance. Fiona.

You're not asking the right question. The question is -- what have you done in the last 2 years that would make me want to re-interview you again? Did you go get promoted? Change employers? Start a business? Saved a kitten from a burning building? If nothing's changed -- except for the hope that you'd do better in the case interviews the second time around -- then what's the point?

I'm also aware of it that I should be able to justify my renewed application.What I still don't know is purley technicality: company policy. Is it the practice to say 'we interview people only once in their lives'. If so, then even 'something has changed in my life during 2 years' won't help me.So that's why I would like to know if I have only 1 shot in my life or more than 1.Fiona

People change...and 2 years is a long time. I wouldn't mind looking at someone again if something TRULY significant and meaningful has happened in their professional life. However, HR might screen you out. The challenge is to get your resume to the right hands. Here's where a strong alumni network at McK and 3Bs count. That's why an MBA at a top Bschool makes a difference.

JohnUCD- undergrad or MBA?There is a lot of consulting recrutiment going on at the moment. UCD has an excellent network in Ireland, not so well known outside. I am ex UCD myself so speak from experience.Lots of ACCENTURE recruitment in Dublin at present.
