Bit harsh. Though his second book (really an expanded version of the first, The McKinsey Mind) was an improvement. It does give a fairly accurate description of some of the basics of an problem solving approach for unstructured issues. It makes a pretty good piece of light relief to go alongside Minto.Of course I am sure our commentators above (Partners at McKinsey everyone) have nothing to learn. When I was starting out as a strat consultant it certainly helped clue me in - which is not to say of course that it should be read uncritically.
