Welcome your views on who provides a good part time MBA. I want to take it over 5 or so years so flexibility is important. What's the view on OU?

Best bit about an MBA is the people you meet and the relationships you form- do it full time! Its only a year, you'll never regret it and its an investment in your future.OU? Pretty good, solid, bit of a 'civil servant' MBA- if you are a high flier you usually go to a high flier's uni

unless you totally want to change the field of work Part time is a very good option. In "real world" experience matter much more than degrees and having the option of part time gives you the best of both worlds.Beth is probably right that u will miss some oppurtunity of networking but i doubt the value of such networks compared to the other gains of having 1 more year of professional experience and the same MBA degree (done PT).good LuckJoe

I'm late 30s, 2 kids, busy life. Plenty of networking already. I want to do it for personal interest and development, I think I'm over the hill as far as top b schools and full time study go. I like earning a wage :-)Cheers

Lots of Exectuive Style MBAs around - depends on your location. Kingston upon Thames Business School does a good one (AMBA accredited - very important). Most are over 2 years ... 5 years is not part-time but no-time. Networking is still great (views from other industries rather than job-wise - interaction of not for profit, FMCA and Commercial etc). Also, possibilities of overseas interactions as well. Well worth doing. Good Luck. (I was working, married with 2 youngish kids at school when I did mine - tough but very rewarding).

Don't know about a 'civil servant' MBA the people on my course came from all walks of life, including a number of 'high fliers'. Two key points are accreditation the OUBS has achieved the triple - MBAA, US and EU, and demonstrating the capacity to hold down a job and do well on an MBA - this not only roots you study in the real world but demonstrates time management, resilience, multi-tasking...
