Canada has a vibrant consulting community, and right now business seems to be great.Don't think that there's no hustle and bustle though. Toronto and Montreal can rival any other big centre for fast pace. Also don't think that you can get away from travel. You go where your client needs you, and Canada is bigger than the US. If you are staffed outside of your home office, expect to spend a lot of time on the road - and maybe much of it in the US.Recognize that the salaries are much lower in Canada than in the UK, so you will need to make some adjustments - but the cost of living is also lower. The big firms are all here, and most are hiring. There are also lots of boutiques and the independent consulting market is strong.
