Hello All,I have just recently gone through the interview process at Accenture for a technology consultant Analyst position.Yesterday they offered me the position and I am looking for some advice regarding lifestyle/pay/mobility.I am going to be in a Texas office, and in the operation alignment group. What do you think the pay would look like, and what the travel for that group could look like? Also what is the lifestyle like at Accenture, I hear from recruiters and everyone that wants you to work there, but I want some other opinions. Hours, taking PTO (they only offer 20 days now). I'd appreciate any advice, I am excited about the opportunity.Thank you,Brice

Hi Brice I believe that most of us are from the UK, so whilst many of my answers will be applicable there will be differences between the workforces. E.g. - we get 30 days holiday in the UK. However, some career levels or workforces within Accenture get 25 days. Most of the answers depend on the project you'll be assigned to. There's no way to know what this will be prior to you starting so I'll try and provide a range. In terms of travelling. You could be away from home Monday to Thursday in a clients site, or if you could be assigned to a client nearer to you but expected to be in the Accenture office 5 days a week. I've had Analysts working for me and been happy for them to work from home the days we're not on the client site. Currently this is Monday and Friday. We work really long hours Tuesday to Thursday but I'm happy if they slope away a few hours early on a Friday. Your boss may be differently inclined to me.Life at Accenture is similar to any large consultancy for an Analyst. You may be expected to work long hours, you may not be performing the most exciting of tasks, you will be expected to work hard, you'll need to demonstrate that you're performing in a better way than your peers. In summary, you'll get a great grounding in consultancy - albeit directed strongly towards IT. If you make it through 3 years, you'll (most probably) have been promoted to Consultant level and be very employable if you choose to leave at that point.
