Hello guys. In this day and age of TV, everyone expects corporate presentations to be delivered with the same flair, gravitas and overall impressiveness as an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. Or perhaps something more like that guy who does the election results on newsnight.Anyhoo, this makes things difficult for us plebs who lack the shine and sparkle of a BBC weather presenter reading things off an auto-cue in a highly controlled environment that is designed specifcally to make the presenter look good.So, what are your best tips for doing good presentations? And I'm talking about the delivery component rather than the content.

Become a comedian - and I'm not talking about rubbish gags. Go along to a comedy club and get a comedian to train you how to do presentations.If you think about it their whole act depends on timing. Most of us could deliver same material stick a comedian on with that material and delivery is completely different.You could always wear a fez too - that'd probably help - you could even say we''ll fix your organisation - just like that !DC

Two points.1.Prior Preparation and Planning Prevents Pi$$ Poor Performance. When you are prepared, you are eloquent and impromptu. You exude confidence.2.Talk to women..... all the time. Am assuming you already know how to talk to men. If you are comfortable with the opposite $ex and can make them laugh, you're sorted! It will really show in your presentations.With regards to style, build a wardrobe and inculcate your 'style'. You must dress the part. it's all about first impressions.

Is speaking to women a big deal then? I've never had any issues with that, if you're feeling lazy then just ask a few questions and they'll do all the conversation for you.

To make the presentation nice there are few things that you should always consider :- Showing the passion in the presentation- Good start of the presentation- Keeping the presentation at proper duration- Presentation slides should visible to all and clear- To make the professional presentation

Talk to individuals - each sentence should start with one person (eye contact) and end on another. Smile - people buy warmth as well as competence. Pause to let the audience catch up on each part of the presentation or each major point made. Summarise and move forwards regularly - dont assume the audience will keep up with everything you say to them (even in a 15 minute presentation).

Present standing up, nothing less dynamic than a bag of potatoes slouching in a chair.No animations in your slide pack, the animation should be coming from you presenting. You don't want to be remembered as the guy with that fancy gimmick of stuff moving around on the screen.Catch their attention with an unexpected angle or a slightly provocative opening - or a touch of humour could also work depending on your audience's style.And as Camster says, be prepared... know the flow of your presentation, what's on the slides and in which order. Too many people pause their speech, click through and are then completely surprised by which slide appears next.

One secret, and it's as follows: deliver the key message of each slide verbally, before you bring up the slide.A. You force yourself to say things in a very clear (and often more energised/compelling) way when all eyes are on you and you dont have a slide to do the explaining for youB. You've a better chance of people actually listening to youC. The slide then reinforces a message, rather than delivering it. So slide reading becomes more of an "Ah, I see" experience, rather than "what am I supposed to be looking at any why?"
