So, Accenture pay raises have been announced (at least in one european country).0% for consistent with rating. This means half of the employees are not given any raise, so their actual paying power will drop few percents this year due to inflation. Last year consistent with was 1% raise.Wonder how many will jump the ship finally.I've also hear rumors about 10% of global MD cut for this year.

My pay rise was better than expected and higher than most. I really don't understand how it works, one of my colleagues got SA. I got A and got about 1.4% more than him.

I think it depends on a mixture of things for pay-rises:- rating- level- time at level- current salarySo for example if you're an M1 and get an "above" it would be better than getting the same rating at M3. Also if you were an experienced hire and were given a slightly more attractive salary to entice you in, it may be lower even with the same rating to realign across level.I could of course be giving far to much credit to HR and it could just be a giant tombola.

4% here for SA as a Manager. Glad to see we did well enough to increase the dividend payout, but somehow weren't able to fund the bonus pot fully. I guess something had to give to keep costs down to reward all the pre-IPO partners with their massive stash of shares.Unfortunately it seems the reward for being loyal is to keep getting marginal pay increases whilst experienced hires negotiate their way in the the top of the band.Perhaps heading to a competitor for a few years is the way forwards...

Isn't it almost always the case that you need to move to get a decent pay rise?

I disagree with that in Accenture (and probably other consultancies). Typically you get rewarded well assuming able to successfully navigate the promotion cycles. If you miss promotional slots or you get a bad rating in the second year at level - then I think you'd do better to move for a more senior, better paid role elsewhere.

Below: 0% Consistent with: 2.5% - 6.5% Above: 6.5% - 10.5% Significantly Above: 12% - 16%You need to x that figure by the special bonus multiplier. That's when it doesn't look as rosy.
