Hi, I have a degree in Economics from a top-10 UK University. I have then currently worked one year in a leading consultancy and now am working as a junior consultant for a big 4. I would like to move to the USA ( I hold an American passport). I wanted to see how the US market views degrees from Universities such as Imperial College, Kings College, Royal Holloway etc.Would I have to explain to people what the are / how they stand or will they know its top 10 kind of IVY league?Any other advice?Much appreciatedJ

I don't think it's necessary unless you believe that the company only recruits from the Ivies.

I would not be concerned about this... I've been with leading firms for 16 years, and the candidates from Canada and the UK are viewed favorably if they perform well... If you stipulate the nature of your program, someone may misinterpret this as elitist and drop you from consideration. Less is more, in this case. Good luck.
