Hello,I would like some advice please.I worked in Corporate banking for two years (completed a graduate scheme in a large bank) and have experience in the project finance and acquisition finance areas. I worked to produce credit papers with an analysis of financial and strategy of companies and project.I decided to enter into the world of consulting, and started with Accenture almost a year ago. Accenture refused to start me at consultant grade, but at analyst level. Also as I was going to be based out of the Newcastle office, I was placed in the Government OG and not in the strategy area either. To be honest Im unsettled and missing my banking/strategy/analysis experience. Could someone give me any advice as to consulting companies where I could re-use my corporate analysis skills. I would skill like to live in the Newcastle, but would be happy to travel anywhere in the UK during week.Any advice/job offers! Be much appreciated.

Hi JL,Sorry to hear that you are not happy with your move. At the moment I can't offer you neither advice nor a job! I have recently moved to Newcastle. I have 2 1/5 years new product development project management experience with a blue chip healthcare company and would like to make the move into management consulting (strategy). While I am happy to travel for work during the week and am quite used to being out of the office and away from home for the majority of my working time, my personal life dictates that the Northumberland area is where I must be based (at least at weekends)!
