Just to clear up, EY BAS has hit it's recruitment target for 2006 already. Interviews are still ongoing but, the start dates are being set for 2007.

Nooooooo! I beg of you, have mercy, take pity, and do not start up this topic again. Here's the definitive summary for avoidance of doubt. Let's put this one to bed:BAS have stopped recruiting but are still hiring, with entry salaries which are clearly disclosed but kept secret, based on fantastic results against a set of growth targets that have not been met, and a Partnership composed exclusively of IBM and Accenture partners except for the ones from the Big Four, niche consultancies, industry and full service consulting firms.Hope that clears it up.

Ah yes - the wonderful world of BAS. Doesn't it sound like a fabulous place to work ??Tell the recruits nothing - by the time they join, it'll be too late to realise this is a clone of BCS

Went through an interview for BAS recently and wasn't very impressed. They seemed totally disorganised, and the two guys I met evidently weren't concentrating on the interview.Needless to say, I didn't get any further.Sour grapes, some might say, but from my reading of this board, I think it was a lucky escape

WowLots of strange messages hereI've just joined EY BAS and its great. The Partners are a breath of fresh air. For the record, they are from Accenture, IBM, McKinsey, CapGemini, AT Kearney and other. They actually treat you like human beings and not cannon fodder ! The culture is young, fresh, challenging and vibrant. Clients treat me with more respect also. They know that I am here to help and not to sell some IT change project.I left my old company (Big SI) due to lack of growth opportunity. I was rated Exceptional but got sick of average pay rises and the partner promotion disappearing into the distance. First year partners at my old firm were paid c. £140k and they weren't really proper partners anyway.EY Annual Report has first year partners on £350k ! Thats worth working for ! EYs latest annual report is out soon so you can read the story yourself.

I just asked my boss about recruitment targets and the business has such demand at clients that BAS needs a lot more great consultants...........we dont take many grads as this is not a systems integrator and therefore experience counts alot to our clients.........The recruitment team have a list of CVs from unhappy SIs as long as your arm....apparently some people are a bit upset that their career at their SI means harder work, less pay (2% pay rise as standard at some places - ouch!) and that failures on big gov projects are impacting them !
