Andrew - Deloitte CIOS is part of their Technology Int Practice. The work there involved with is really the lead point in for their TI practice. As the name suggests they go in and identify the problem with the CIO, help them define a solution and then lead in either the other parts of the Firm, the vendor or another systems integrator to manage the delivery. Types of assignment are spec and select, SI, architecture etc. All from a business case/design perspective - not managing the implementation. It's kind of the step down from the Technology Strategy team (but there's lots of overlap). Client base is pretty diverse in terms of industry, size and location.Grading structure is: Anlayst (grads), Cons (2-4 years exp), Snr Cons (4-6 years), Manager (6-10 years), Snr Mgr (10-15 yrs), Dir/Ptr. Therefore with 10 years experience you need to be going at them as a Snr Manager. What they look for at that level is someone who can go to the very first meeting with the Partner to the client and then take over from there and run the scoping, spec, proposal stages, through to initiating project delivery.Deloitte's is an exciting place and CIOS gets some interesting and vaired projects.
