Hi everyone! I hope you can lelp with a bit of a dillema. We are in the process of restructuring our recruitment agency and a non performer consultant has been offered the role of an assistant recruitment consultant. Essentially what she will be doing is generating leads and getting clients to sign up. Senior recruiters will take it from there. What should the salary package be and would she qualify for a bonus by signing up clients and if so what would be the usual formula. We have not amended her salary as yet. She is on the same salary package as senior recruiters. Thank you veyr much for your help and I look forward to all suggestions.RegardsSusan Hillsusanhill59@gmail.com
Essentially what she will be doing is generating leads and getting clients to sign up. Senior recruiters will take it from there.
Do we translate this as ' she will be winning client relationships and the rest are really just resourcing' ? Will this be contingent (fee on placement) business she is winning? And will she be selling into a market where you already have an established brand, presence, and existing slate? These factors should influence the reward.

yeah, Mars is right. Surely you can hire any old chimp to wade through CVs and put forward candidates? The tricky think is winning clients who want to use your agency, surely? It sounds like the non-performer is being given the most difficult job?

Splitting out business development and delivery is the retained model i work under, and i dont see how it can work in contingency. What exactly is this person selling other than a promise in exchange for a promise? If no money has changed hands .. And how can someone sell services with a title like 'assistant recruitment consultant' - so potential clients cant get the organ grinder they get the monkey?flawed set up and this poor recruiter will get the brunt of it.
