Hi Friends, I have assessment centre day (technology, strategy & architecture) at Deloitte Consulting coming up this week. I have been trying hard to find out how does Deloitte Consulting differentiates itself from other Big-4 Consulting? Could you please help me figure out? I need specific points in terms of comparing consulting division of all Big-4. Basically this is to drive my answer to a possible question, why I am choosing Deloitte Consulting? Thanks in advance!

1) Didn't sell up shop in the last 2 decades like the other big 4.2) Sexiest logo of the big 4.3) They're actually all the same, so refer back to 1 & 2.

Just tell the truth and say youre applying to all of them and frankly will accept any offer you get or, if you get more than one offer, the one that pays the most

Questions like that can only be there to find a candidate's bullshit potential when after a couple years of PP slides they're put infront of a client. Doesn't really help the OP, you may want to think why you want to work for one of the big 4 and then use MikeTC's first two points to help shape your answer further.

You could mention that you're aware Deloitte is more mature in this market than other big 4 competitors. You might also say you've been impressed with Deloitte's substantial investment in technology market (deloitte digital new brand, premises, acquisitions) ahead of the other big 4.

You could also say that you're impressed by their relentless focus on client satisfaction and that you strenuously believe that you need to be a part of that excellence.

Why deloitte consulting:1) talk about your strengths in the areas that you are interviewing 2) talk about deloitte's leadership position in those areas3) talk about how you can learn and grow in those areas.

Only one of the big 4 with a name you can actually pronounce. Try saying pwc, kpmg or ey.

They just do that to lure you in to their excessive fees. Trust me when you order in an audit team you don't get anything like as advertised.

I think BEP is right, but unfortunately it is not something that they really want to hear.Marsday is probably nearer to the truth, but as a graduate you have to be very articulate to be able to play that one...I think a mix of the 2 might work best for you.You can talk through how you want to join one of the big 4, explain why. No harm in that, same as someone saying they really want to join Lloyds or RBSG, maybe Barclays or JP Morgan...Then go on as to what you think the advantages of joining Deloitte is. You noticed comparing their websites and in your research that Deloittes does x while none of the others seemed to have an equivalent. You know someone who works at Deloitte and they said x and y about it, which has peaked your interest
