Hi, I'm due to join PA Consulting shortly and was wondering about the onboarding week (4 days). Where does it take place? What does it consist of? And are the attendees from all practices? Thanks

Anyone? By my reckoning, 11+ people must attend the onboarding week, 50 weeks a year - surely at least a handful of people on here must have been through it. I just want to know what sort of format it takes and whether all attendees are put together, regardless of rank/practice and where it is held. Thanks

Hi Duck, thanks, but I shouldn't be so sure about what? About the numbers I mentioned? Or about joining PA in general? I'll be joining the technology practice (software and mathematical background). As far as I can see, the other thread is very very general with regard to PA...Thanks

My on-boarding was held in a place that as far as i recall was owned by PA out by Runnymede. But that was a long time ago.To be honest it was a fairly boring affair. We did some role playing and problem solving tasks during the day, then had dinner and a few pints at night.Lots of sitting around in circle's and break out sessions with flip charts.Others told me their on-boardings were much more boozy affairs. But ours wasn't so it depends on the crowd you get on it.The attendees were from a mix of practices.
