"management consultancy/ corporate and competitive strategy" is a very broad category, whereas niche firms concentrate on more specialised ... well, niches.The following may help to generate some ideas: What technologies do you have greatest expertise in? What kinds of strategy projects have you worked on? Which overseas countries have you worked with? Any foreign languages and/or work permits other than UK/EU?

A vast majority of my projects have been around marketing strategy for SMEs and start-ups in retail and FMCG. I am a British citizen but also fully eligible to live and work in India. I have spent 3 years doing internal consultancy (marketing strategy)in India and 2 years in the UK doing similar projects but as an independent consultant.My current role, however, is a business development role (non-technical) with a blue-chip technology (networking) organisation. I am very keen to move back into consultancy but not sure which firms to target.
