Fixed salaries won't rise all that much. Variable (profit share / dividend / capital growth on shares) becomes dominant after a few years. Deloitte publishes partner remuneration data on its accounts showing average earnings of ~£900k - that means probably £200/250k at the low end and several millions at the top.
